Myanmar_Strengthening of Public Financial Management at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation

The overall objective of the project of which this contract will be a part is to build MoALI capacity to achieve the A/NSRC overall and specific objectives as follows: Contribute to the reduction of all forms of undernutrition in women of reproductive age, infant and under-five children.

The purpose is to support the introduction of nutrition expenditure-sensitive PFM systems aligned to the Myanmar PFM reform strategy at Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation (MoALI).

While not significant in terms of GDP (2% at current prices in 2018), agriculture is the main source of livelihood for over 80% of the total population livestock farming is particularly important, with a cattle population estimated at 2.55 million heads.
