Innovations for Agricultural Productivity – Arsi (IFAP-Arsi)

The German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) launched in 2014 the global initiative „One World no Hunger“. The global program „Innovation centres for agriculture and food sector” forms part of the global initiative and aims at improving income of smallholder farmers, creation of employment opportunities and improving food supply through supporting innovations in the agriculture and food sector.

Das Globalvorhaben „Grüne Innovationszentrum in der Agrar- und Ernährungswirtschaft“ (GIAE) ist Teil der globalen BMZ Sonderinitiative „EINEWELT ohne Hunger“ und zielt auf eine Verbesserung der Einkommen kleinbäuerlicher Betriebe, der Beschäftigungsförderung und der Versorgung der Bevölkerung mit Nahrungsmitteln. Das grüne Innovationszentrum Togo ist eines von ca. 13 Handlungsfeldern (Landesprogrammen) des GIAE. 

Im Rahmen des grünen Innovationszentrums Togo werden drei Interventionsfelder verfolgt:

Indien_Grünes Innovationszentrum in der Agrar- und Ernährungswirtschaft

Das Globalvorhaben „Grüne Innovationszentren in der Agrar- und Ernährungswirtschaft“ (GIAE) der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) fördert im Rahmen der Sonderinitiative „EINE WELT ohne Hunger“ in 14 Grünen Innovationszentren, u.a. in Indien, die Verbreitung von Innovationen in der Agrar- und Ernährungswirtschaft.

Despite its high economic growth, Mozambique is still one of the world’s poorest countries. Growth rates of on average 8% of GDP over the past 10 years are due to investments in mega-projects and in the extractive sector that generate hardly any employment and income effects. In the Human Development Index 2011, Mozambique ranks 184th out of 187 countries evaluated.
