The implementation of the accompanying measure will significantly support the successful establishment of DBG’s business model as the national development bank in the Ghanaian market. The project as such combines three areas of intervention: 

Training and capacity building at DBG
Due to the specific tasks and the associated product range, there will be a high need for training for new employees. The consulting services financed under the complementary measure are intended to meet this need.

Tasks of the resident advisor to DBG:

Le programme global « Centres d’innovations vertes pour le secteur agro-alimentaire » fait partie de l’initiative spéciale « Un seul monde sans faim » du Ministère Fédéral de la Coopération Économique et du Développement (BMZ) en Allemagne. La composante Tunisie est un des 16 pays du projet du programme global et travaille sur le développement durable de deux chaines de valeurs : pomme de terre et lait.

In order to export products to the EU market, producers in Africa need to fulfil a wide array of requirements related to quality. These requirements include mandatory, legal product requirements (technical regulations), voluntary technical norms from official technical committees as well as private quality and sustainability standards. Conformity with these requirements is assessed in predefined procedures (audits).
