Capacity Building for efficient utilisation of Biomass for bioenergy and food security in the greater Mekong subregion

The subject of this regional capacity development technical assistance (R-CDTA) aims to improve utilization of biomass in Cambodia, Laos PDR and Viet Nam (CLV). This will be achieved through: (i) harmonization of sustainable standards, certification systems, and other mechanisms to enhance regional cooperation on bioenergy development with food security ensured; (ii) implementation of pilot projects to demonstrate mechanisms for scaling up biomass investment projects for bioenergy or food security; (iii) capacity-building support for project stakeholders; and

The experts will assist Indonesia Eximbank during three field visits and enhance the capacity of its staff to provide energy efficiency advisory services. In addition, the experts will perform the following tasks: Assist Indonesia Eximbank department heads with their review of the energy efficient technologies currently available on national and international markets and review existing partnership and alliance models that could be developed for Indonesia Eximbank.

Institutional Capacity Building of Indonesia Eximbank The experts will assist Indonesia Eximbank during four field visits and enhance staff capacity in energy efficiency finance and advisory services. In addition, the expert will perform the following tasks: Assist Indonesia Eximbank department heads with their review of energy efficiency finance products and risk models and explore cofinancing options such as the Clean Development Mechanism
