This has made the Agricultural diversification agenda a top priority for both policy makers and farmers themselves. Some of the key identified reasons linked to crop diversification include: increase in crop productivity, increase in market opportunities, an improved crop rotation and provision of resilience to climate change.

The Climate-Friendly Agribusiness Value Chains Project is aimed at enhancing competitiveness of rice value chains in Khammouane, Saravan and Savannakhet Provinces, and vegetable value chains in Vientiane Capital, Champasak and Sekong provinces.
The service is sought to provide direct technical support to the 5 grants beneficiaries under the HEARD project (Federal Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries (MoLF), International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) and the Ethiopian Veterinarian Association (EVA), and to the 3 regional states (Amhara, Somali and Oromia) Bureaus of Livestock and Fisheries.

On 24 April 2018 AFC Agriculture and Finance Consultants has conducted the closing workshop of the first phase of the project “Implementation and Enhancement of Agri-Insurance under the Rural Financial Sector Development Programme in Serbia”.
Like the country’s overall SME sector, the development of the country’s rural SME sector is supported through the 2012-2020 Strategy for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises and its corresponding Action Plans, which contain a series of measures to improve the sector’s competitiveness using an innovation-based private sector development paradigm.
The objective of this contract is to reduce economic and social disparities in rural areas through the introductionof active employment initiatives and the development of micro, small and medium sized enterprises.
In March, AFC, in consortium with CA17, ADE and GOPA, signed a new contract with the European Union Delegation in Niger. The 8M€ project will last 3,5 years. AFC with its partners will support the Haut Comissariat de l’initiative 3N “Les Nigériens nourissent les nigériens - Nigeriens feed Nigeriens” (HC3N) and the EU Delegation with a technical assistance for the sectoral reform agreement, “Food and nutritional security and sustainable agricultural development (CRS-SANAD)”.
