During the period between May 2019 and November 2021, AFC will implement one component of the global GIZ program "Green Innovation Centres for the Agriculture and Food Sector" in Ivory Coast, which targets the local transformation and marketing of cocoa and cocoa by-products. The project region covers selected regions in the southwest and southeast of the Ivorian cocoa belt.
El proyecto Del Campo al Plato (CaP) tiene como objetivo integrar aspectos de la biodiversidad y los servicios eco-sistémicos en las cadenas de valor del banano y la piña en Costa Rica y la República Dominicana. El trabajo del contratista estará enfocado en el Output II del proyecto: Fondo de Innovación en Biodiversidad. El BIF busca que productores de pequeñas, medianas y grandes empresas privadas inviertan en iniciativas novedosas con un enfoque en conservación, servicios eco-sistémicos y valoración del capital natural.
During the current EU Financial Framework (2014-2020), 61 countries selected food and nutrition securityand sustainable agriculture as a priority sector for partnering with the EU. The EU has committed more than 8 800 000 000 EUR to this intervention, corresponding to 20 % of the EU development portfolio. For the next EU financial framework, a significant number of countries could choose again food and nutrition security as afocal sector for aid.
Mit seiner Sonderinitiative 'EINEWELT ohne Hunger' (SEWOH) will das BMZ einen signifikanten Beitrag zur Verminderung von Armut und Hunger leisten. Das Globalvorhaben Grüne Innovationszentren in der Agrar- und Ernährungswirtschaft (GV GIAE) ist Teil der Sonderinitiative mit dem Modulziel: Innovationen der Agrar- und Ernährungswirtschaft haben in ausgewählten ländlichen Regionen Einkommen kleinbäuerlicher Betriebe, Beschäftigung und regionale Versorgung mit Nahrungsmitteln verbessert. Die Umsetzung erfolgt im Rahmen von Länderpaketen (LP) in 14 Ländern.
