Accompanying Measures for Funds of Funds ANAVA

The main objective of the project is to improve access to finance for innovative and growthoriented start-ups in Tunisia and to create jobs in the long term. By providing equity investments via Child Funds, Tunisian start-ups will be able to further develop their innovative products and establish a sustainable position in the market. With market stability, the supported start-ups will also be able to generate positive macroeconomic spin-offs as well as direct and indirect employment benefits.

Support for the implementation of the ATCA strategy through organiza-tional capacity building

The project " Strengthening of the reform capacities of Tunisian institutions - Support for the implementation " of the ATCA strategy through organizational capacity building is implemented in Tunisia in the framework of the GIZ project "RECAP: Capacity Building for Tunisian Institutional Reform".

RECAP's main objective is to strengthen the reform capacities of Tunisian institutions, through capacity building measures, in order to create the necessary conditions for the successful implementation of reforms.

Soil Protection and Soil Rehabilitation for Food Security - Elaboration of a medium-term development strategy for the Agence Foncier Agricole (AFA) in Tunisia "AFA 2050".

 

The study "AFA 2050" is being carried out as part of the GIZ project "Soil Protection and Rehabilitation (ProSOL)" in Tunisia. The overall objective of the project is to improve the capacities of the AFA agency through modernisation and digitalization aiming to establish a modern and functional land development authority.

Innovations for Agriculture and Agro-Food (IAAA) - Milk Value Chain in Tunisia

 

The “Innovations for Agriculture and Agro-Food (IAAA)” project is implemented in Tunisia as part of the GIZ Global Project "Green Innovation Centres for the Agriculture and Food Sector (GIC)".

The overall objective of the project is to improve the socio-economic situation of smallholder farmers in rural areas through sustainable innovations to increase agricultural productivity and income. In 2016, the milk value chain was selected as a priority value chain by the IAAA project due to its socio-economic importance.

Consulting service for an optimization of fodder systems by zone and climatic conditions in the Center-West of Tunisia

The global program "Green Innovation Centers for the agriculture and food Sector" is part of the special initiative "One World Without Hunger" of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The component in Tunisia is one of 16 country programs of this global program and works on the sustainable development of two value chains: potato and milk.

Strengthening employment promotion structure in Tunisia

The high unemployment rate and underemployment, particularly in the interior regions of Tunisia, are coupled with a severe shortage of adequately trained workers. Only few young people in rural areas had the opportunity to benefit from qualification services and efficient employment services.

This situation has put the Tunisian government under strong pressure to offer employment opportunities to the many un- and underemployed young and adult people likewise, especially in the interior regions of the country. 

Responsable de l‘équipe_Service de conseil pour une optimisation des systèmes fourragers par zone et conditions climatiques dans le Centre-Ouest de la Tunisie

L’objectif de la mission est d’une part de faire une analyse sur terrain de système fourrager existant dans les zones sélectionnées et pour le groupe cible des petits éleveurs (ayant des petites parcelles de 2-15ha et/ou 4-20 vaches) ; et d’autre part basé sur cette analyse d’élaborer des recommandations détaillées, qui sont applicables et pratiques pour le groupe cible des petits éleveurs et leurs systèmes fourragers et adapté aux conditions climatiques spécifiques part pour toutes les zones déterminées dans les gouvernorats Kairouan, Sidi Bouzid et Kasserine dans le Centre-Ouest.

Support Programme for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship in Tunisia

The KfW with the approval of the Tunisian Ministry of Finance has envisaged a new project that will focus on startups and early-stage companies. The project’s core funding (€20 million) must be allocated in the form of a loan to the Tunisian State (component 1).

A support measure (€1.5 million) will also be available for capacity building. This capacity building will address startup and early-stage company segments at the level of partner financial institutions and entrepreneurs (component 2).  

Microfinance Market Potential Study

The SANAD Fund for MSME views the micro, small and medium enterprise sector as an engine of economic development, job creation and prosperity in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This also makes it a vast and as yet untapped investment opportunity. To realize this potential, SANAD provides debt and equity financing to local partner institutions for on-lending to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and fueling their growth.
