SME Finance Experts (international and local) for an EIB-funded Loan for SMEs Outreach Initiative in Georgia

Background

 

In the context of the EIB-funded Georgia Loan for SMEs Outreach Initiative, for an envisaged TA project to the benefit of a commercial bank, we are looking for seasoned experts, who are able, willing, and capable to work (either long-term or short-term) in Georgia on the following two core topics:

MSME Experts - Supporting the expansion of lending to micro and small businesses in Georgia

The overall objective of this assignment is to support the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Georgia through enhanced access to finance. In particular, during the project a team of experts will be engaged by AFC to support the bank in Georgia in the implementation of its transformation to become a universal bank with strong capabilities to lend to micro, small and medium-sized businesses.

The target is the Improvement of the Organizational Setup and Assessment Methodologies for Micro and Small Business Loans.

Senior MSME Product Expert - Supporting the expansion of lending to micro and small businesses in Georgia

The overall objective of this assignment is to support the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Georgia through enhanced access to finance. Team Leader - Supporting the expansion of lending to micro and small businesses in Georgia

The overall objective of this assignment is to support the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Georgia through enhanced access to finance. In particular, during the project a team of experts will be engaged by AFC to support the bank in Georgia in the implementation of its transformation to become a universal bank with strong capabilities to lend to micro, small and medium-sized businesses.

The main responsibilities of the expert are:

Georgia_Business Continuity Plan Expert

Credo Bank (Georgia) inteds to implement a Business Continuity Plan to ensure operations and core business functions are not impacted by a potential disaster or unplanned incident that may take critical systems offline. Credo Bank is supported by the scope of Eastern Neighborhood TA Program for Financial Inclusion (ENTAFI), funded by European Investment Bank (EIB) and implemented by Agricultural & Finance Consultants GMBH (AFC). 

Consultant for Business Continuty Plan within the Eastern Neighborhood TA Program for Financial Inclusion (ENTAFI)

Background:

Credo Bank within the scope of Eastern Neighborhood TA Program for Financial Inclusion (ENTAFI), funded by European Investment Bank (EIB) and implemented by Agricultural & Finance Consultants GMBH (AFC) intends to implement Business Continuity Plan in order to ensure operations and core business functions are not impacted by a potential disaster or unplanned incident that may take critical systems offline.

Main Objectives and Deliverables:

Georgia_Support the implementation of the "Georgian Agri-food Value Chains"

The overall objective of the technical assistance operation is to support the implementation of the EUR 100 million loan operation "Georgian Agri-food Value Chains". The loan will provide longer term finance to support investments by final beneficiaries (SMEs, including agricultural cooperatives and Mid Caps) in the target horticulture (including nuts) and wine value chains.

Agriculture Modernization, Market Access and Resilience (AMMAR)

The Agriculture Modernization, Market Access and Resilience (AMMAR) project of the Government of Georgia, with IFAD funding, aims to raise incomes of smallholder farmers and increase climate resilience through public and private investments in upgrading climate-proof productive infrastructure, enterprises and smallholder farmer production systems and technologies in support of inclusive growth of climate smart agricultural value chains.

Tasks of this projects are: 

  • Training/guidance on overall project approach and concepts related to VC development;
