Support to the development of a geographical indications system

Qualifications and skills

• At least Master's Degree (or equivalent) in agriculture, agricultural sciences or economy, agronomy, law, public administration or (applied) economy, or at least 10 years of professional experience in these areas on top of the years requested under General Professional Experience;
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written;
• Knowledge of Russian is an asset;

General professional experience

• A minimum of 12 years of working experience relating to the implementation of agriculture/rural development projects, including in the areas of viticulture or dairy food-industry;

Specific professional experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal approximation, regulatory development and administrative capacity building in one or more of the following fields: agro-food product development, agro-business, and agricultural marketing;
• Proven experience as a Team Leader in at least one Technical Assistance institution building project of minimum 12 months;
• Minimum one year of experience in the field of EU wines/spirit drinks or EU dairy/cheese sector.
• Experience in countries covered by ENI, ENPI, IPA and PHARE Regulations is an asset;
• Experience in Intellectual Property Right and in GIs is an asset.

Any qualification, skill and experience stated in the respective CV of an expert must be substantiated by supporting documents (with accurate translation into English), such as copies of degrees or diplomas and employers’ certificates. The experience required for the key experts and non-key experts will only be counted as of the date the relevant degree/diploma is obtained. Several relevant experiences accumulated in the same month could only account in total for one month of relevant experience.

All experts must be independent and free from conflicts of interest in the responsibilities they take on.
