Recruiter for international Development Cooperation (m/f/d)

Agriculture & Finance Consultants GmbH (AFC) is a private German consulting firm focusing on agriculture/agribusiness and financial sector development projects in developing and transition countries.

We employ almost 60 permanent staff members at our headquarters in Bonn/Germany and on average 880 external consultants throughout the year implementing projects for various donor organizations (e.g. ADB, AFD, EBRD, EIB, EU, GIZ, KfW, World Bank) in one of our 88 offices abroad.

AFC is a member of GOPA Consulting Group, Germany's largest group of consulting firms in development cooperation.

As part of the continuing expansion of our Recruiting Department, we are looking for a permanent, full-time Recruiter (m/d/f) at ours headquarter in Bonn / worldwide.

As Recruiter, you liaise with the people who are most important for the success of our projects worldwide: our experts on site. You identify the project staff for agriculture/agribusiness and financial sector developments projects and maintain close contact with our experts. As part of a larger team, you are also contributing towards the successful implementation of our international projects.

Mission to accomplish (task):

  • You analyse the project-personnel requirements of various development partners (GIZ, EU, World Bank, KfW, ADB, AFD, etc.)
  • You use a variety of recruitment methods to pre-select applicants for the right position, such as our internal expert databank, social media and active sourcing
  • You are responsible for compiling the appropriate expert profiles, thereby demonstrating your linguistic and analytical skills
  • You are the first point of contact for our experts – from the initial telephone conversation, to accompanying them throughout project implementation
  • You negotiate fees & contracts
  • You maintain and expand our network of experts
  • You lead the recruitment for international experts for EU tenders and be the main interface with Project Manager
Qualifications: 

Where your heard is (profile):

  • You hold a relevant academic degree and first professional experience
  • Asset: experience in recruiting requirements of at least for one donor (EU; KFW; AFD; GIZ, etc.)
  • You have an open-minded personality and are a strong communicator who likes to work and interact with people in different teams in an international environment
  • You are fluent in English and/or French (both written and spoken)
  • You like to approach people, negotiate and agree on contractual conditions, and establish long-term working relationships
  • You bring along both creativity and an eye for detail
  • You are reliable, well organized and able to keep track of your tasks, even under high workload and with tight deadlines
