Market study and strategy development for viable green products in Northern Uganda.
Scope of work:
- Review and analyze existing data and research on the green economy in Northern Uganda.
- Examine current market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive dynamics in the green sector in Northern Uganda.
- Identify viable green products and services that align with regional resources, capacities, and market demand.
- Engage with stakeholders, including young entrepreneurs, women-led enterprises, local communities, and investors, to gather insights and foster collaboration.
- Develop business cases (financial viability) and include a breakeven analysis of the proposed viable green enterprises.
- Assess the policy landscape, incentives, and barriers impacting green investments.
- Develop a roadmap and route-to-market strategy for the recommended youth and women-led green enterprises.
- Develop a digital strategy to promote inclusive green products, including recommending platforms, tools, and outreach methods.
- Recommend areas of interventions to overcome identified constraints including capacity-building requirements for pro-poor green value chain enterprise development
- Identify market players that can contribute to inclusive pro-poor green enterprise for youth and women in Northern Uganda.
- Submission of a detailed report.
Qualifications:
- University master’s degree in environmental science, Agroecology, climate change, and risk management or related.
- 6 years of experienced in conducting market research, strategy development, and digital solution implementation, with a focus on sustainable use of natural resources and green products.
- 6 years of international professional experience in the environment and natural resources sector
- Experience working with youth and women-led enterprises and familiarity with gender and social inclusion principles
- Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of digital platforms and solutions relevant to product promotion
