Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Policy Capacity Building in Macedonia

The purpose of this contract is to provide technical assistance for improving the institutional framework forfood safety in the country, by strengthening the existing system of competent bodies and institutions in order toensure an integrated multidisciplinary approach, covering all food chain stages. In particular, the contract shall incorporate: administrative and institutional strengthening of the Food and Veterinary Agency, Phytosanitary Directorateand State Phytosanitary Laboratory, phytosanitary monitoring programme for plant health, preparation for accreditation of inspection services.

Qualifications: 
  • Relevant University Degree in Agriculture or Veterinary or related field
  • At least 7 years work experience in food safety
  • Previous experience in EU financed projects is an asset Previous experience in the region and capacity building is a strong asset
