The feasibility study would look into the cost and opportunities of providing financing to farmers and agricultural and agribusiness enterprises along revealed value chains with the goal to enable more farmers/MSME to overcome barriers preventing their effective involvement in the selected agricultural value chains. Therefore the main objectives of the study will be to:
Analyze the feasibility of identifying up to four value chains in agriculture for the new program as one component as mentioned above;
Identify feasible financing schemes and related Technical Assistance;
Provide recommendations on the project design and setup (in close cooperation with CBA, GAF and KfW Entwicklungsbank).
- The study should be performed by a team of (at least) one experienced international finance expert and one research specialist, which have a proven track record in the area of agriculture and agricultural finance and value chain financing.
- The research specialist is expected to have a relevant university degree and initial practical experience in conducting research in the field of financial services, preferably with a focus on agricultural finance and value chain financing.
- He/she should be engaged in collecting data and information and assist the international expert in processing these data and drafting the report.
The work on the project shall commence promptly upon award of the contract. The assignment is expected to last for no longer than six weeks and not more then 50 working days
