The main purpose of the contract is to provide technical assistance for the establishment and operation of awhey processing plant (WPP) in Trabzon, complemented with a collection and concentration plant (CCP) inErzurum. The project will provide technical assistance services on:
- Development and implementation of a business plan for the WPP and CCP;
- Establishment of human resources base of the WPP and CCP;
- Establishment of quality assurance systems for the production facilities, as well as the testing/analysislaboratory within the WPP and CPP;
- Establishment of computerised enterprise resource planning system;
- Launching of the WPP and CCP
The main functions of the BDE will be as follows but are not limited to:
The BDE will be in charge of the delivery of activities Al, A4 and A5 of the Project. Development of detailed time plans and resource schedules, identification of non-key expert requirements, monitoring of technical inputs, developing aid maintaining working relations with the local stakeholders are the key responsibilities of the BDE. S/he will perform his duties in full coordination with the Team Leader.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management and Engineering, bachelor's degree in any other field will be accepted in event of minimum 10 years' experience on SME and/or Private Sector development projects/programmes. Excellent command of English (speaking, reading and writing);
- Full computer literacy;
- Turkish will be an asset
General professional experience
- Minimum 10 years of general professional experience and more will be asset up to 20 years of professional experience Specific professional experience;
- Minimum of 3 years of specific professional experience in SME, enterprise or private sector development;
- Management experience in an organisation, institution or company in food sector will be an asset.
The operational base for this project will be Trabzon and Erzurum, in Turkey.
The base of operations for all key experts is the Project area location, 5% home based work is possible upon prior approval from CA and this will be assessed on a case by case basis.
The intended start date is February 2016 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 24 months from this date.
