The overall objective of this Technical Assistance (TA) operation is to support the expansion of sustainable lending to SMEs in agricultural and tourism sectors in Armenia, thus contributing to the broadening and deepening of the financial sector, supporting SMEs and promoting the development of the private sector as well as creating and securing employment and income in rural areas in Armenia.
Qualifications and skills
Education to at least University Degree or equivalent in Agricultural Economy, Banking, Business Administration, or related disciplines; relevant postgraduate study would be an advantage;
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; knowledge of Armenian and/or Russian would be an advantage;
Computer literacy.
General professional experience
The Team Leader should have at least 15 years of relevant professional experience in financing agricultural and/or tourism businesses;
At least 10 years of relevant professional experience with risk management systems, product development and capacity building of financial institutions;
At least 5 years of relevant professional experiencerelevant professional experience
Specific professional experience
At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in agricultural and tourism businesses appraisal technologies;
At least 7 years professional experience as team leader in project/programme management (leading position) OR in a senior management position in the public or private sector.
The Consultant will be based in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, but may be required to travel throughout the country during the TA operational period.
The intended start date is December 2015 and the period of execution of the activities is of 9 months from the commencement date.
