Ouverture de la campagne agricole au Bénin avec une visite du Ministre de l’Agriculture de l’Elevage et de la Pêche au projet FI-Agri

Nous nous réjouissions d’avoir pu accueillir le Ministre de l’Agriculture de l’Élevage de la Pêche (MAEP) du Bénin pour le lancement de la campagne agricole de 2020-2021 sur un des bas-fonds aménagés dans la commune de Koutchatié dans le cadre du Projet Fonds d’Investissement Agriculture.

The livelihood of a large part of the world's population directly depends on access to land and its secure long-term use. According to estimates by the UN-World Food Programme, the members of small farming families make up half of the 795 million people suffering hunger in 2015. Many landowners and land users have only informal or traditional tenure rights, which are often not sufficiently recognised.

The LDDP project seeks to promote climate resilient productivity growth, enhance market access' and improve risk management among smallholder farmers and Agro-entrepreneurs, by providing support for climate smart production systems, farmer empowement and commercialization.

Regional Facility for Business Development and Investment Climate Eastern Africa, Southern Africa and Indian Ocean

The contract will provide technical assistance services covering 25 countries in Eastern, Southern Africa in order to support interventions falling into three different categories: the macro-level which aims at creating a fertile environment for the private sector to grow, the mid-level which targets interventions at market level, in order to address market failures, enhancing value chains and competitiveness, and the micro-level which works directly with businesses and individuals.

China_German-Chinese Crop Production and Agrotechnology Demonstration Park (DCALDP)

Since August 2015, the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) is supporting the „German-Chinese Crop Production and Agrotechnology Demonstration Park“under their bilateral Cooperation Programme. The first project phase ended in July 2018 and it was agreed to extend the project for a second phase until July 2021 (with the option of a further prolongation for one year.
