AFC successfully recertified its QMS according to DIN ISO 9001:2015 in July 2023. The Certification Company DNV confirmed the applied management system and its frame for the tenth year. The recertification is valid for 3 years.
The goal of the quality management system is to meet client requirements, set quality standards in our daily work environment or services and to facilitate the entry of internal colleagues. The ISO 9001:2015 certification insures effective and adequate working standards to fulfil the demands of our clients.
The main topic and focus within the audit procedure this year was our knowledge management within the company and in-between our offices worldwide. Taking into account results of a staff survey, the reorganisation of knowledge management including QMS is a participatory process. Aim is to establish an updated user-friendly solution, which facilitates our daily work and improves overall quality as well as customer’s’ satisfaction and internal work flows. The different steps in moving our knowledge management system from an intranet solution to MS Teams include firstly the cleaning up, updating and recreation of documents. Then, the introduction of the new system in MS Teams will be accompanied by trainings for all staff members highlighting the potentials and advantages of MS teams. To say it with words from Eliot Coleman: “Information is like compost; it does no good unless you spread it around.”
As part of the audit multiple colleagues were interviewed by the auditor and our quality management system was demonstrated. The first day was an on-site meeting, the second audit day was held online.
Luckily, no deviations or violations were found and we will aim to implement the additional recommendations given by the auditor.
