Support to the development of a geographical indications system

Qualifications and skills

• At least Master's Degree or equivalent in agronomy, agricultural engineering, food processing or food industry, or at least a cumulative 10 years of professional experience in these areas on top of the years requested under General Professional Experience;
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written;
• Knowledge of Russian is an asset;

General professional experience

• A minimum of 12 years of working experience on issues related to Geographical Indications, agro-food industry or agricultural marketing, either in the private or public sector;

Specific professional experience

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the field of wine production;
• Proven experience in the implementation or preparation of at least one Geographical Indication System in the beverage or food sector (e.g. wines/spirit drinks or dairy/cheese).
• Minimum two years of experience of working in inter-professional or agricultural commodity associations is an asset;
• Experience in Intellectual Property Right in the agricultural sector is an asset;

Any qualification, skill and experience stated in the respective CV of an expert must be substantiated by supporting documents (with accurate translation into English), such as copies of degrees or diplomas and employers’ certificates. The experience required for the key experts and non-key experts will only be counted as of the date the relevant degree/diploma is obtained. Several relevant experiences accumulated in the same month could only account in total for one month of relevant experience.

All experts must be independent and free from conflicts of interest in the responsibilities they take on.
