The project aims to support the FOUNDATION COOMEVA (FC) by the the introduction of three main modules of the "EcoMicro" project. This will emphasize the importance of environmental issues within the FC.
The modules are adapted to the background of the FC, that contributes to the business development of its partners through motivational programs, training, advice and additional funding. This means that the relationship with customers extends beyond the duration of loan process, being partners an integral para of the cooperative.
Expected project activities:
Market study:
Identification of promising SME sub-sectors (e.g. service, trade, industry etc.) in urban regions, identification of bankable energy efficiency products and cooperation possibilities with engineering associations and EE product sellers
Technical assistance:
Development of a positive list of eligible products (considering affordability, minimum standards)
Capacity Building of loan officers on concepts of energy conservation and energy efficiency, and necessary implications for EE loans, Developing ToT for loan officers on these aspects
Developing concept for energy audits of SMEs (depending on selected SME sub-sectors,either walk-through concept or thorough audit) includingcapacity building concept either for the beneficiary’s in-house staff (if considered appropriate) or cooperation partners (e.g. freelance experts, local engineering associations)
Elaboration of suitable EE awareness raisingcampaigns (focus on content, concept will be elaborated by communication expert)
Supporting Finance Expert in product development
Requirements:
Fluent in Spanish
Working Experience in Latin Americaand/ or Caribbean
Degree: Master’s Degree Engineering or equivalent, also possible Economist with proven technical exposure
Working experience: At least ten years of relevant experience
Broad understanding for SME and Microfinance sector, Energy Efficiency in Microenterprise and SMEs
The project consists of three main phases, which are the starting phase, the implementation phase and the closing phase. The implementation phase will last approximately 15 months, while the start and closing phases are 1.5 months each.
