
The overall objective of the project:
Political leaders, experts and managers as well as representatives of civil society in the Kazakh and German agricultural sectors have a growing mutual understanding of key agricultural policy issues and take international know-how into account in political decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
Tasks of the Expert Organic Farming
- Supporting the team leader in terms of content, methodology, planning and evaluation, organisation of events, reporting, etc.
- In consultation with the team leader: control of activities, prioritisation, planning and support of KZF operations
- Providing technical contributions and advisory services to the thematic platform on organic farming
- Operationalisation of the M&E system
- If LTE 2 will be responsible for regional concept: Development and coordination of supra-regional Cooperation (regional concept) in Central Asia in consultation with the TL. Contribution of initiatives, expertise, organisation
- Reporting and public relations, knowledge management, evaluation of further training courses
- Contacts and networking with partner structures in the country, including the private sector
Necessary minimum requirements/exclusion criteria
- Completed university studies
- Several years of professional experience (min. three years)
- Experience with institutional and policy advice, especially experience in working with ministries and political institutions of several countries (min. two years)
- Good knowledge of the German or English language, both written and spoken
Further qualifications/experience that will be positively considered within the framework of the assessment (advantageous)
Professional background
- University studies of the Agricultural sciences / agricultural economics, related engineering sciences, economics, political sciences
- Professional experience in organic farming
- Several years of professional experience in international cooperation
- Experience with the preparation of studies, concepts, advisory products in the agricultural and food sector
- Practical experience in working with many different stakeholders - Networking (cooperation with government agencies, academia, the private sector, advisory systems)
Regional expertise and language skills
- Professional experience in Kazakhstan, the post-Soviet space, Central Asia or other transition states, especially those with comparable sector conditions
- Stakeholder network on organic farming in Kazakhstan and the region
- Knowledge of Russian Methodological competence
- Very good skills in the development of: Cooperation models, benchmarking, strategies, counselling methodology, further education concepts and systems (also virtual and blended learning).
Start / Duration:
From January 1st over three years with an option of one year extention
