Further regulatory approximation with the EU legislation and international standards in financial markets in Ukraine

The overall objective (Impact) to which this action contributes is:
The overall objective is to establish a financial services sector in Ukraine that is able to deliver stable, secure and efficient financial markets to provide financial resources to support the country’s economic and social resilience, development and integration into the EU global financial environment, to support sustainable recovery and rebuilding after the end of the war/martial law.

Qualifications: 
  • Master's degree in a field related to finance, economics, business or public administration, international development, or equivalent; or an additional 5 years of required general professional experience as described below;
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Good command (level B2 or higher) of Ukrainian language will be an asset.

General professional experience

  • Minimum 10 and preferably over 15 years of general professional experience, gained after the award of a higher education diploma, in skilled jobs (in public sector, international co-operation, financial sector, business administration or equivalent).

Specific professional experience

  • At least 3 and preferably over 10 years of employment in at least a middle-level position in a securities regulatory authority. This requirement refers exclusively to a full or part-time employment in relevant organisations. Consulting work will not be taken into consideration in the assessment of meeting this requirement. In case of part-time employment, only the actually worked time will be taken into account;
  • Previous experience in technical assistance projects of technical assistance to the financial sector authorities, preferably in EU Candidate countries; former Phare, IPA, MEDA or Tacis countries;
  • Experience with Ukrainian legal and regulatory framework in supervision of credit institutions will be an asset.
Start / Duration: 

Minimum inputs of 300 days from award approx April 2025 over 3 years
