The role of the Farm Survey Expert will be to oversee the smooth introduction and development of the FADN field operations, including training of field staff, farm selection, farmer recruitment, farmer training and completion of the Farm Return. This is an important role as farmer reluctance to participate has been identified as a possible weakness and risk to the successful establishment of the FADN.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and skills:
University degree
Good spoken and written English.
Excellent communication, human relations and interpersonal skills.
General professional experience:
Minimum 5 and preferably 10 years professional experience in the organisation and undertaking of field surveys.
Experience of training survey staff and recruiting survey participants would be an advantage.
Specific professional experience:
Experience in EU FADN or Farm Structure Surveys.
Knowledge of FADN typology, farmer recruitment and completion of Farm Returns.
Experience of developing the EU FADN in Member States or accession/pre-accession countries would be an advantage
Start / Duration:
July 2011 - estimate 200 days
