Consolidation of Food Safety System

Qualifications and skills A university degree in Veterinary Medicine/Food Science/Public Health, or other equivalent discipline, Relevant postgraduate complementary qualifications (e.g. public veterinary medicine, epidemiology, food hygiene, food law, public health or related subjects) will be considered an advantage, Have very good knowledge of the English language, including effective spoken presentation and written reporting abilities, Computer literacy at user’s level   General professional experience Have preferably 15 years working experience in the field of animal health, food safety and/or food production or equivalent field but not less than 10 years, Have preferably 3 years experience of working with or for public institutions covering veterinary/food safety issues in an EU Member State or a Candidate/Potential Candidate country but not less than 1 year, At least one professional experience in the formulation of sector policies. Specific professional experience Has in the last 10 years led at least one multidisciplinary team in the agricultural, veterinary and/or food sector in a project of similar size, Has in the last 10 years at least one successful experience in the establishment, and/or restructuring and/or managing a National Food Authority, Food Safety Agency, Veterinary Service or similar body within an EU Member State or a Candidate/Potential Candidate country to accede the EU.
