The EIB is considering the funding of a Technical Assistance Programme (“TA Programme”) to the benefit of Financial Institutions located in the Caribbean region, which are either existing or potential clients of the Bank.
The overall objective of the technical assistance assignment is to support the implementation of the EUR 400million loan operation "Ukraine Agri-food APEX Loan". The operation is a line of credit which aims to provideinvestment funding to the Ukrainian cereals, oilseed and aquaculture/fisheries value chains.
The overall objective of the technical assistance operation is to support the implementation of the EUR 120million loan operation “Fruit Garden of Moldova”. The operation is a line of credit which aims at providing investment funding and institutional support to Moldova's horticulture sector.
The overall objective of the technical assistance operation is to support the implementation of the EUR 100 million loan operation "Georgian Agri-food Value Chains". The loan will provide longer term finance to support investments by final beneficiaries (SMEs, including agricultural cooperatives and Mid Caps) in the target horticulture (including nuts) and wine value chains.
The Project aims at ensuring that EIB’s SME and Microfinance loan facilities are allocated to creditworthy Final Beneficiaries and that a number of up to 41 Financial Intermediaries (FIs) are endowed with sustainable internal structures to be able to continuously support the East and Central African MSME sector.

The project will assist the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) in meeting its objective of promoting access to finance through the development of a country-wide strategy to develop mobile financial services and retail payment infrastructure. The project will provide the CBE with the relevant capacity in order to ensure the implementation of well-developed action plans, in the framework of the CBE’s Strategic Framework, for the CBE to increase the use of various payment methods in the country.
