Serbia_TA to the UCBS Impact Incentive Loan for SMEs & Mid-Caps_Team Leader
On 22 June 2020, the EIB and UCBS signed a finance contract and a grant agreement in relation to the UCBS Impact Incentive Loan for SMEs and Mid-Caps (the “Loan”) for an amount of EUR 15 million. As the first EIB operation with an impact finance dimension, the purpose of the Loan is to support Serbian social enterprises and other SME and Mid-Cap companies (collectively the “Final Beneficiaries”) who commit to generate positive socio-economic impact and sustainable growth (the “Project”).
Financial Experts_African Health Diagnostics Platform
The promoters of the African Health Diagnostics Platform Technical Assistance (AHDP TA) will be public or private sector entities which are facilitating the development, financing, implementation and subsequent monitoring of diagnostic projects in the target countries. In particular the ministries of health and finance will directly benefit from the technical assistance and are key implementers of the AHDP.

EIB has either put in place, or is currently planning, a number of intermediated credit facilities to cover the financial needs of private enterprise across Sub-Saharan Africa through approved local financial intermediaries. They include (i) banks engaged in financing private businesses; (ii) banks engaged in financing microfinance institutions (MFIs); (iii) MFIs financing microenterprises; and (iv) microfinance investment vehicles (MIVs) and other equity funds indirectly financing microenterprises and SMEs.
