Pour pouvoir être importées dans l’Union européenne, les marchandises doivent être conformes à certaines normes légales de qualité et de protection des consommateurs et, généralement, à des standards volontaires en matière environnementale et sociale. Il est fréquent que les produits africains ne remplissent pas ces obligations ou n’aient pas reçu la certification nécessaire. En conséquence, les pays africains exportent surtout des matières premières non transformées.

Die Land- und Viehwirtschaft trägt in Kamerun mit ca. 15 % zum Bruttosozialprodukt und beschäftigt ca. 60 % der Bevölkerung. Der Sektor ist geprägt durch kleinbäuerliche Strukturen und geringe Produktivität.

Die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels mit unregelmäßigem Regenfall, längeren Trockenzeiten und stärkeren Überschwemmungen sowie steigendem Verlust der Bodenfruchtbarkeit erschweren die nachhaltige und wirtschaftliche Nutzung der produktiven Flächen. Die unfruchtbaren Böden machen bereits 25 - 30 % der landwirtschaftlich nutzbaren Fläche (etwa 1,7 Millionen ha) aus.

Programme for Sustainable Economic Development

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) form the backbone of the Ghanaian economy. They make up about 85% of the enterprises nonetheless more than half of them consider the lack of access to finance as the biggest obstacle to their business growth.

In view of this hampered development, AFC started implementing three new projects in fall this year that aim to promote financial sector soundness and access to financial services by individuals.
