Pashmina Value Chain promotion activities in Nepal

The International Trade Centre is looking to promote activities for a project aimed to contribute to Nepal’s economic and social development through export growth and market diversification of Chyangra Pashmina (CP) products manufactured in and exported from Nepal.

The assignment is intended to primarily benefit goat farmers and CP fibre producers in Upper Mustang area, existing and potential CP fibre collectors and processors at local level as well as CP enterprises and their employees in Kathmandu.

Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR): Climate Resilient Agriculture and Food Security

The Project aims to work through two lead firms (LFs) in the agribusiness sector that see the opportunities to promote climate smart agriculture in project areas. The LF approach involves working directly with identified companies to strengthen their supply chain, ability to provide products and services in markets with high demand, and improve their organizational capacity.

Das Globalvorhaben „Grüne Innovationszentren in der Agrar- und Ernährungswirtschaft“ (GIAE) der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) fördert im Rahmen der Sonderinitiative „EINE WELT ohne Hunger“ in 14 Grünen Innovationszentren, u.a. in Indien, die Verbreitung von Innovationen in der Agrar- und Ernährungswirtschaft.

Das Globalvorhaben „Grüne Innovationszentrum in der Agrar- und Ernährungswirtschaft“ (GIAE) ist Teil der globalen BMZ Sonderinitiative „Eine Welt ohne Hunger“ und zielt auf eine Verbesserung der Einkommen kleinbäuerlicher Betriebe, der Beschäftigungsförderung und der Versorgung der Bevölkerung mit Nahrungsmitteln. Das grüne Innovationszentrum Indien ist eines von ca. 13 Handlungsfeldern (Landesprogrammen) des GIAE.  

Jordan MSME Framework - MSME Lending Capacity Building

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the "EBRD" or the "Bank") is developing a framework operation of USD 150 million in Jordan (the "Project") which will strive to address the issue of access to finance of Jordanian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The Project will offer an integrated package combining funding for technical assistance to Participating Banks (PBs) and loan guarantee. EBRD will partner up with local entities to ensure success and sustainability of the Project.

Microfinance Expansion Project - Risk Share Facility (RSF) Manager

The micro and small enterprise (MSE) market is served by banks, specialized microfinance providers, savings and loans societies and other community-based financial cooperatives. There is a distinct need for risk support via credit guarantee scheme instead of traditional on-balance sheet. The Risk Sharing Facility (RSF) addresses the mitigation of risks of rare, unexpected stress losses by way of residual portfolio coverage that provides an alternative mechanism for effective portfolio diversification.
