Key Experts for Azerbaijan for a Project Targeting Young Entrepreneurs

Background and Rationale: 

We are composing a team that will cover the following 

• Inclusive Finance 

• MSME Banking 

• Marketing and communication 

• Non-Financial Services 

Objectives 

Strategic Support for selected PFIs to target Youth-led and owned MSMEs especially:  

• Support the selected PFIs to define their ambitions and priorities to effectively target and serve youth MSMEs;  

• Strengthen PFIs’ capacities to deliver on that ambition through facilitating a greater understanding of the market opportunities and needs and challenges facing youth MSMEs in Azerbaijan 

• Providing institutional strengthening and capacity building to support the PFI in offering new or improved financial and non-financial products, business models and delivery mechanisms to target youth MSMEs.  

Selected Tasks of the expert  

• Inclusive Finance : Conducting gender/youth analysis of banks' portfolio, institutional strategies, business models and delivery mechanisms to reach out to Youth MSMEs; Conducting qualitative research and age/gender institutional analysis; 

• MSME-banking: Implementing MSME lending schemes at commercial banks and/or MFIs in emerging markets and similar operating environments, including in implementing multi country/complex programmes; Liaising with PFIs staff and management on ongoing basis. 

• Marketing: Designing and implementing marketing and sales initiatives in commercial banks and/or MFIs; Designing and facilitation of meetings and workshops. 

• Non-Financial Services : Assisting commercial banks and/or MFIs in design and delivery of effective and tailored non-financial services for MSMEs; integration of NFS with financial services
