Food Security Office in Democratic People's Republic of Korea

To assist the European Commission in implementing its food security programmes in the Democratic People'sRepublic of Korea.

This includes (among others):

  • monitoring and evaluation of EU projects (EUPS) as well as food security and nutrition statusdevelopments,
  • local coordination with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea authorities, development partners andEuropean Union Project Support (EUPS) units with focus on food security and nutrition,
  • organisation of EU HQs visits in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea,
  • coordination and assistance in the preparation of supplies tender dossiers,
  • support the operation and sustainability of future supplies through its training programme.
Qualifications: 
  • Relevant academic qualifications in Agricultural Sciences and/or Rural Development and/or Development Economics or other relevant fields (or equivalent professional experience);
  • Preferably 15 years of professional experience, with a minimum requirement of 10 years experience in the field of Food Security with a focus on Rural Development, Agricultural Development, Food processing or equivalent
  • At least 5 years professional experience on EC rules and procedures and project cycle management (PCM) would be an asset
  • Demonstrated experience as team leader would be an asset.
  • Specific regional experience would be an asset
