Under the strategic guidance and supervision of GIZ, the consulting firm will be responsible for the implementation of the technical assistance to a Microfinance Network of Arab countries. This service package under the programme Promotion of the microfinance sector in the MENA region refers to the strengthening of institutional framework conditions of the microfinance sector and is directly related to the network.
Specific interventions would include support in the following areas:
(1) Strategy development
(2) Procedures and governance
(3) Service provision and training
Qualifications:
Team Leader (International expert), senior advisor to the network and management of the intervention, up to 12 expert months (intermittent) with the following qualifications:
At least 10 years professional experience in development of microfinance sector with a focus on institution building/organisational development preferably of microfinance networks or associations;
At least 7 years experience in project management (in financial sector and/or technical cooperation) incl. responsibility for personnel;
Specific skills and experience in organisational development Work experience in Arab countries;
Strong conceptual, socio-cultural and personal skills (writing, presentation, moderation, facilitation, communication etc.);
Masters Degree in Economics, Business Administration or a related field;
Fluent in written and spoken English; German and Arabic would be considered as an asset;
Experience in results-oriented monitoring and evaluation
